What is the last date to apply for UPSSSC Combined Junior Engineer Electrical 2026?
Online applications open on 06/11/2026 and close on 27/11/2026. The fee must be paid and reconciled by 04/12/2026, which is also the last date for corrections in the application.
What is the application fee?
There is no application fee. Candidates of the General, OBC, SC and ST categories pay only an online processing fee of Rs. 25. The Mains examination fee is paid later, only by candidates shortlisted for the Mains.
What is the age limit?
The maximum age is 40 years and the minimum is 18 years (21 years for Technical Assistant, Research Assistant and the UPSCIDCL Junior Engineer). Age is counted on 01/07/2026, except for the Electrical Safety Junior Engineer posts, where it is counted on 01/01/2027. Relaxation is given as per Uttar Pradesh government rules.

A diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution is needed. Most Junior Engineer posts also need High School pass with a 3-year diploma. What is the selection process and exam pattern?
Candidates are first shortlisted category-wise, up to 15 times the vacancies, on their PET-2025 normalised score. The Mains written exam has 100 objective questions of 1 mark each in 2 hours, with negative marking of 1/4 for each wrong answer. It covers electrical engineering subjects (65 marks), Computer and IT (15) and General Information about Uttar Pradesh (20).
Is PET-2025 compulsory to apply?
Yes. Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and have its score card issued by the Commission can apply, and they log in with their PET registration number.
